Product reviews for Oak Barrel - 5 gallon (20 liter) Galvanized Steel Hoop

I recently ordered two of the 20 liter barrels. They were unfinished as I believe that the barrel breathes better and gets a better flavor as the barrel expands and contract as the temperature changes. I live in Kentucky so I get pretty much the same weather as the larger bourbon distilleries.  The barrels are of excellent quality, very well finished on the outside and came with an extra spout and bung (maybe because I ordered 2). I filled the first barrel with water after first rinsing it out and got few charcoal pieces from the rinse.  The barrel had no drips at all and I only had minor seepage to the outside of the barrel.  It was completely dry on the outside within 24 hours and the only water loss was from the barrels absorbing it. I have always been pleased with the flavor that I have gotten from the barrels that I have purchased from BarrelsOnline and recommend their product.
